Acidic Water and Your hair
Acidic water close the cuticle layer of the hair. For high porosity hair, which is hair that absorbs chemicals very quickly and can become over process, using an acidic water rinse after deep conditioning will help close the cuticles along the hair shaft, thereby sealing moisture into the hair. For low porosity hair, which is hair that does not absorb chemicals and is hard to color or perm, the cuticles are already tightly sealed, using an acidic water rinse will further compact the cuticles, making it harder for moisture to penetrate into the hair shaft.
